rather than get them back, I think they all know where he is headed....so they will probably go to him. Once luffy reaches Ace, the mangaka will probably cut to and do the stories of all the other crew members.

I have a similar but alternate theory.

I figure before the climax of the Ace arc where luffy arrives and saves him the story will gear down after the escape from impel down and then all the crew members will start to make their move to where ace is being executed knowing luffy will go there and they will all arrive either simultaneously or just a 2-3 chapters after luffy does and then a gigantic brawl of Pirates Vs Marine HQ will go down.

(By pirates I mean whitebeards + luffys crew + other random assortments of other pirates that may not belong to crews..like shicibukai or the strong members from where supernovas were introduced..not the supernovas..but people like raleigh.)

Well truth be told, I still have no idea whats going to happen now that blackbeard is there. It could go in any 100 directions.

i do agree that end result would be meeting up together where ace is at....as to how i'ms ure it'll take quite a few chapters to tell the story of how each one trained and got stronger and what not
as for the blackbeards, i believe with the strenght currently at impel, they can kick their asses =P
