Haha it's fucking amazing. Don't get discouraged after only the first volume though, it has to introduce the characters and the background so you can understand the shit that happens later on.

Also, it's important to keep in mind that the mystery behind who "Friend" is drives a lot of the plot, so while you might think you know who he is early on, keep in mind that Urasawa won't make it so simple ^__^.

edit: And holy shit I just noticed it's tied with Berserk for first place on all of MAL with a score of 9.08. Damn.

Ever since I read Monster I've been meaning to read that, but the synopsis always discouraged me.

Since you say it's the best thing since sliced bread though, I'll give it a try

It's WAYYY better than Monster. But how did the synopsis discourage you? I like the premise for 20th Century Boys 100x more than Monster's or Pluto's.

Onani Master Kurosawa is pretty amusing, if quite strange. It seems like a hit or miss type of deal though.

Haha, well that synopsis is much too brief, but if it doesn't sound at all appealing to you I dunno what to tell you. All I can say is that there's a reason why it's tied for #1 on MAL with a 9.08, and it's my #1-#2 favorite manga ever.
