He was said to be the strongest, so there's definitely evidence for this. No doubt that he was a complete monster of a ninja. I still think Minato would give him a run for his money. That speed... it's probably just too much to handle.

There's always a counter for everything, speed isn't always godly.
When there's greatness, there's also a weakness.

Dat speed... dat ass. It's hard to find weaknesses in characters like the Hokages and whatnot, but yes Minato probably had his. This is just another reason that when this series is over (which might be right after this war) they should start writing up past battles.

I remember him being called the master of 1000 jutsu's and I think Iruka said he was the strongest in the anime but I don't think it was true. Early in the anime Naruto said he wanted to be like the fourth hokage because he was the strongest of all. Ero sennin said the same thing about the 4th. It's really all about opinion though. If you think about fights they have had and who has accomplished more then without question the 1st hokage is the strongest.

Look at that and tell me he's not a badass. He is fighting madara in his prime with the nine tailed fox on his side. Talk about a fucking battle. Beating madara alone must be hard. throw in the nine tails full power under his complete control? Come on... Name anyone else who could do that....

the third fought orochimaru and 2 edo tensei summons. one was the first hokage, who you are saying is badass, and the other was the second hokage.

he did all that while not even in his prime

I too remember Jiraiya saying something about Minato being one of the most talented Ninja to ever live. About the 3rd's fight with Orochimaru, yes the first and second were summoned and the 3rd was able to fight them all off, but IMO that wasn't everything we could expect out of the first 2 hokages at all. I think the best thing Hashirama did was use that huge fucking tree that didn't really do much but change the terrain. I don't think we saw either of them go to their fullest potential, and if they did then I think they're weak sauce. I think Hashirama especially is capable of more than what he showed, especially because he was able to hand a prime Madara his ass on a silver platter.
