Also, it's quite possible to go from being anorexic to being boulimic. Both are eating disorders, with a high focus on control.
The anorexic can, for instance, start eating, but with boulemic (purging) tendencies.

it's more likely that she was anorexic, and that her body still remembers that time of extreme hunger/lack of nutrients. so it will stock up more fats and nutrients should such a famine occur again.
