I think it depends on how bad the time line shifted. If he needs to save more people, I bet he time hops back, but there's something about him in this current time frame that I can see as his last time line.
He's a better person all around this time, and I'm sure he would be no matter how it ends up, but there's something about him now...
I'm wondering if there's a strategic reason he told his teacher that he got his memories back when he did, or if they had just triggered.
