I'm guessing it's useful insightful storyline rather pointless fillers like OP/Bleach/Naruto.

It's not really filler. Basically the normal storyline happens on the higher floors. Then there are side stories which tell some special events that happened low-mid floors. This is why the anime seems like it's jumping around like crazy; these particular events weren't necessarily meant to be shown in chronological order, but rather to supplement the storyline.

After a minimum of 2 and a maximum of about 5 more episodes, we'll be seeing a much more standard pace of levels and story. For reference, the dates the anime episodes take place are 1: 11-2022 | 2: 12-2022 | 3: 12-2023 | 4: 2-2024 | 5: 4-2024. The normal storyline wont jump around like crazy the way it has been.

I almost cried while watching this episode. Definitely best anime of this season, and the anticipation was worth it.
