hmm why?

Mai Hime was good, because it eventually spawned an offshoot named Mai Otome. However, Mai Otome took everything that was good about Mai Hime and threw it to the winds. What we're left with is a rather irksome show that challenges my patience for each new episode, make no mistake about it. I hate this show with a passion and ask myself why I would be wasting my time with this when I could be watching Mai Hime instead.

What I've been subjected to in half of the show, though, is creepy innuendo, lame komedy and an ill-paced story that may or may not get up on its own feet in the near future. As for now, all I wonder is why we keep on watching this when we could be watching something else instead.

Otome is testing my patience. -.-
It's just.. as flora stated.. crappy sexual innuendo, seeing a scene of a girl putting oil on another girl then reaching down "ohh, not that spot" greatly put..
not very good comedy, arika is getting on my nerves even more being overly stupid..
and it's taking too long for this anime to show progression, I think only 2 episodes out of the 9 I've watched so far have really been interesting.

But, I braved Lucky Star, I think I can handle Mai-Otome..

what is otome? is it a sequel?

They just pulled some of the chars from mai-hime and made a different anime.

I really liked it :X 9 eps lol have u even seen her l33t skills yet aka the new earings...
