Well you get your wish. He has Been using Shikai for the whole fight... and the whole series.

Oooh kenpachi seems to have owned evil smiley dude with his palm block but i think this battle is far from over, still gonna go back and forth a few times =P

I dunno, thus far Kenpachi has yet to even try, and you can tell that because if poor ken-kun was to try then the fight would end far to quickly.

and that would suck.

shikai is the first release of ur sword that u get when u learn ur swords name, and kenpachi does not know the name of his sword so no, he hasnt been.

Hasn't he already said that he doesn't know his swords name? Pretty sure that it's kind of a requirement for shikai.

Also FloraFreak is absolutely right, Ken-chan is all about testing his opponents. You have to severely fuck up to get ended quickly by his hands...wouldn't be any fun.

so he wont use shikai right? he said he avoided to learn it, but couldnt that still mean he knows the name but just doesnt want to speak it out?

Kenpachi said the two hand thing was something Yamomoto made him learn when he FIRST joined the 13 squads, so it's not Shikai as far as I can tell. It's just utilizing a style of fighting that is more powerful; Ichigo always fights two handed, but we have yet to ever see Zaraki wield his sword like this; rather exciting.

Well it's pretty obvious. You use a 1-handed sword technique to counter attacks quicker. But if you were to use 2-hands, how much stronger could you swing?

I don't think we'll ever see Zaraki bankai and shit, but I do however think that at some point, he is going to fight an an enemy he can't beat off power alone. That enemy will break his sword, requiring him to learn it's name to rebuild it. We'll see a stronger, much more focused Zaraki when that happens.
