there also a good short series i think 4-8 epo blue something (kinda slow?)

almost forgot
shikabane hime is your perfect iso, awesome show, so many haters on MAL show deserves more than a 7

Depending on your definition of slow, you might wanna check out Kurozuka, The Hakkenden, Casshern Sins, Otogi Zoshi and Rahxephon.
None of them involve mystery/detective type stuff though.

well except znkyou no terror but you didnt really sell me on it
dont worry about it none of these shows really have the feel i'm lookin for anyway

ya, when your mal hits 500 shows you know you've seen too much
i skipped the hakkenden though guess i'll check it out
kaze no yojimbo is pretty good. about a journalist in a back woods farm town with a heavy yakuza influence.
