I can't wait to find out the story behind Annie siding with the Titans. Maybe because she wants to be on the winning side?

I don't think she necessarily sided with the titans. She made a point an episode or two ago about how the military looks at the weaker and newer members of the forces as just pawns. Even though they have just as much passion/give as much as a Captain Levi, they are simply not better and because of that they are disposable. Maybe because of that resentment she wants to take down the command of the Recon Force and whoever else she can? Even when Armin said "You'll have to kill me too" you could see Annie was upset about it... so it's not like she wants to kill all of the humans. I think there's a motive other than trying to side with the titans but I guess we'll see!

Yeah, I'm sure there is more to it than that, but she could have just as easily helped the humans. Especially when she can use the titan power so flawlessly, she is in complete control and aware(so it seems), when in titan form. Imagine Annie, Eren and the Recon Force all fighting together, would definitely make them a powerful force.

ppl who are higher ups who never see blood at all who hold power and influence to do anything they want with their asses covered

pretty much shows how government is fucked up in general and people with power abuse that power but at the same time, a government is needed
