shunsui(new captain commander) due to a curse was asked by his late brothers wife and current vice captains MOM to hide the only zanpakto in the entire ISE family history.This sword has the ability to face gods but is useless otherwise. not sure if the curse which shortens the span of a ise member lover/husband/bf is due to the sword but the Mother asked shunsui to hide the sword which he did in his OWN sword(or at least one of them). shunsui does have a dual zanpakto and up until the last chapter he had the zanpakto passed down in the ise family which he himself never used and jsut hid it. or something like that
anywho to answer jadeo basically super quincies are trying to take over and the gotei is facing off with the 8th division as captain commander as the previous one was killed by the pinnacle of super quincy who appears to be the soul kings son!
