I think the reason he was able to hold it was because of his resolve.. during his training he wasnt in the heat of the moment.. you see in the last chapter of the fight that he was yelling a lot of crap about him going to Hueco Mundo to fight grimjaww.

wow i havent read those manga, i actually didnt start reading manga until 298 when ken-chan showed back up, hes my fav. But yeah, it doesnt surprise me that ichigo wants revenge after the beating he took from grimmjowe the first time. I got a weird question actually, I know we dont talk much about the romantic side of this show, cuz it represses it a lot, but i know ichi was in love with rukia for awhile, does ne1 think that has changed with this whole crusade to rescue innoe? Or do u think #4 was right when he said ichigo only did it to assess her true intentions? Curious. And god i hope nnoitra doesnt kill off my ken-chan....

its not his shikai. Kendo is a japanese art of the sword, where the user uses a sword with 2 hands, and predicts attacks.

Supposedly Kenpachi is really pro with kendo

goddammit, u mean after him getting slashed to death, he is turning the tide just by using two hands?! This is silly, just have him do shikai already......i mean thats the only way hes gonna beat nnoitra....wish the author would stop with the theatrics of kenpachi whoops ass, he gets owned, he does something ridiculous which shouldnt help him comeback, but it does, repeat. Its been a month of this......Stop cockteasing us with the promise of him using his shikai.....or him just getting killed.....i hope this fight is over soon, as Ken-chan says "im getting bored."
