It never really seems that Renji is that skilled at shunpo anyway, maybe he's not capable of teaching Chad how to do it. What I bet he can do is teach Chad how to attack fast enough to counter a quick moving fighter. Besides what Chad does have is an exceptional sense of reiatsu and now he's got a huge ass shield, maybe he can defend himself now? In other words Chad will come up with some equalizing cheese. It seems way to early for him to need his ass saved just yet...he probably wonnt be so easily outmatched until an espada rapes him.
