more tax hikes? HST jumped from 13% to 15% semi-recently, even though the whole "harmonized" bit of it was to add a 2% tax break from combined PST + GST being charged on some items.

right now alberta only pays GST 5%
no food tax's

jan gst 6% pst 2%

Huge question for you guys in the states. On the displayed item of what your buying does the price tag include the taxes? like its 4.09 no gimmicks? canada display price but u have to add taxs to head. Why would they do this when stores prices change all the time cause competitors why not just add the taxs? guarantee prices change MUCH more recently than the tax % lol.

yeah, it was .. idk, what it used to be, that was ages before my time in NS, since i mostly lived in ON before (13% HST as of last summer). but the combined total of PST + GST was supposedly like 15-17% or something, and you had this convoluted list of situations where PST would only be applied, or GST would only be applied, so they figured they'd just mux the 2 into 1 and charge it on everything at a lower combined ratio. but then they jacked it up recently, which completely defeats the point of combining the two, so now that the PRfest is over, they can just stealthbump it up and jew us for more.

n2m something like 40-45% income tax once u break into "middle-class" wage tiers.

msn's been fucking up all week, i just login to hotmail, and use the webmsn there instead - which has been working all day.
