I don't think there's a time frame actually. Think about it. Orochimaru revived the First and Second Hokages when he fought the third. Those 2 had been dead for several years. Kabuto has also been using past kage who've probably been dead for some time too. That might be just for edo tensei though. I'm not sure that Nagato could have used his 7th path resurrection crap or whatever he did on Konoha a year later or something. Also, I'm not sure that Chiyo could have revived Gaara if his body had started to decompose.

so you people think they cant bring someone back to life if there decomposing... but they can do all that other crazy unbelievable shit right?

I believe in logical theory and ideas until the authors.say diffrent so at this moment I don't think you can make a rotting or a completely decomposed body back to life I believe you can only bring back the recently dead
