as for naruto, i think he also added a defensive measure kinda like when sasuke amaterasu'd tobi. but maybe its a counter genjutsu
At the end, lets say Madara does finish his plan and everyone is snapped into a genjutsu, then sasuke(cause hes an EMS user) and naruto cause he had itachi's gift wake up and 2v1 tobi for the marbles
(yes i know farfetched but meh i felt like typing)

nah i think its a weapon or something naruto can use against sasuke. he said that he hopes naruto doesnt have to use it.. so i dont think its a way for itachi to talk to sasuke
