I was so expecting sasuke to pop up after.that battle and kill a extremely exhausted kakashi. :(

you mean like how kakashi was about to battle an exhausted sasuke after his fight with danzo? i don't think they want it that repetitive

added thought, i think Itachi's gift to sasuke was more then meets the eye (hehe). I think that Itachi left him something like, when sasuke uses itachi's eyes he will pop up yada yada
as for naruto, i think he also added a defensive measure kinda like when sasuke amaterasu'd tobi. but maybe its a counter genjutsu
At the end, lets say Madara does finish his plan and everyone is snapped into a genjutsu, then sasuke(cause hes an EMS user) and naruto cause he had itachi's gift wake up and 2v1 tobi for the marbles
(yes i know farfetched but meh i felt like typing)
