i keep hearing good things about "attack on titan" How good is this? Would you recommend it?

ya attack on titan is good you should watch it.

you might like hyouka too, its a bit different but quite enjoyable(not really a comedy though its SOL)

if you want something with more action check out Magi, there's a second season airing in the fall.
