It's his shikai.
He couldn't have released his shikai if the shikai didn't tell Zaraki it's name, which it didnt in the past.
Remember the case of Renji?
His shikai didn't trust him as a warrior so it didn't tell Renji it's real name but when it did, Renji became stronger.

When Ichigo faught him the 1st time, when Yoruichi was training to Bankai she explained to him that his and Zarakai's are in constant Shikai. So unless Kubo is trolling again.

That thing he summoned was his Bankai.

You have to remember he stole the swrord off a died Shingami so that guy must of already had his shikai.

Also not everyone says "Bankai" when they release it. That was just a thing Kubo did for the 1st arc or 2 to let people know "this is there ultimate power/weapon.

That info is definitely not trust worthy. Zaraki said that before he could ever speak to his sword and when he throught it was just a weapon. You don't get shikai when the sword decides to shikai, you get it when you can communicate with your sword which zaraki was totally unable to do before this. It could be his bankai, but it's inconclusive at this point.

Fair enough, still not convinced its zaraki's Bankai tho. His release command sounded more like a shikai release as well.
