Hrm pretty sure this was when ichigo first entered soul society. renji after training to fight on par with aizen was probably a lot closer to byakuya.

heck renji with just knowing the true name of his bankai was already multiple times stronger than he was with his partial bankai. I cant think of anyone who had a shittier bankai. Maybe Ikkakus since it would seem to break on anyone formidable lol he needs help in that department.

Yeah but everybody improved to fight Aizen. Renji was still had nothing on byakuya, so now he's going to be like ZOMG ALL MY BLADES CAN FLY AND SHOOT LAZERS!




but probably the worst part of the writing for this series is that they still haven't touched Uryuu's dad even though I'm sure he's aware of what's going on. His power was stolen and then recovered, he isn't going to be blind to what's going on.

Ah thank god, and i thought Rukia is just going to be one of the random side characters.
