I agree with Cyba about Konohamaru.

He never hated ebisu he was just a little rebellious. And with the whole he didn't act polite crap. He was like 5, kids will be kids, he had a ton of respect for the third which is why he was always acting that way.

Im referring to how Konohamaru was always trying to fight the third. He did that because he knew the third was the best so he wanted to prove him self as just more than his grandson

they've only shown him with ebisu like 3 times in the whole manga, that's not a good way to gauge how he feels about ebisu. people show their feelings differently, and people tend to show how they really feel when the other is faced with death, so the pain episode is the real gauge.
