The super star guy is annoying but he's just like that arrancar Barragan had. Kubo doing it for luaghs, but still a decent fight so far.

lol it's kind of a pet peeve to not see stuff through till the end....

but why was this a good chapter to you? i've seen this kind of battle a million times already... "villain" thinks he's so stronk, unleashes full power at enemy, shoots more stuff to "finish the job," the "enemy" turns out to be more stronker and survives without a scratch then proceed to reveal something new.... it's been done a million times in bleach already... also, the power of that quincy guy is pretty retarded and makes no sense whatsoever... powering up from cheers is probably the dumbest thing i've ever heard of. not to mention he can heal himself with cheers? wtf.....

seriously nothing happened this week that wasn't shown last week.

The fight scene just showed the Quincy unleash into his true form. Then Renji showed off his new sword on the last past. This qunicy has no real meaning behind it expect to show off Renji's new sword abilities. Same was done with Yumichika when he faought Carlotte in the Aizen Arc. Kubo has done this style of explaning things since chapter 1....
