Someone I know (female) likes inuyasha. Any other recommendations you can give me for her?

Really enjoyed

Arakawa Under the Bridge - Every scene destroyed my stomach. Too funny for me.
Soredemo Machi wa Mawatteiru - This ones hilarious
Monotagari series - It's alright.

Pretty sure that this are all from Shaft but anyone can recommend that is similar to these animes?

Im new to Manga. Just read Blame! (which i loved), NOise and Gantz (dropped after 120 - should i give it a second try?)
Is there something like an "essential manga list"?
And what are the best sides to read manga online?

I haven't watched any anime in a while and was looking for a movie/OVA to get back into it (Shorter series are ok too). I really like top end animation and artwork like that from Sword of the Stranger, as well as some that is a bit on the older side such as The Wings of Honneamise, I'll watch things with great animation even with a middling plot e.g. Sky Crawlers. In terms of plot I like all of Satoshi Kon's films as well as Jin-Roh, Berserk, Rurouni Kenshin: Tsuiokuhen, and Gunbuster (Basically really weird stuff, plus sword play and mecha). Anyone got any recs?

Is there any follow-up to code geass, any OVA's or more eps?
Found the R2, anymore after that? And is R2 a different series or a follow up?
