I'm sure this will be cleared up in the anime. During the 5 kage summit arc when he went to talk the the Raikage, I recall him mentioning something about bettering his sage mode and he was trying to get it to happen faster and last longer I believe.

I think you guys miss a important point about sage mode

Naruto is best ever at sage he surpassed all others before him but the fox chakara was limiting it. So naruto was best with a handy cap

Now naruto has separated the fox chakara from his normal with a new seal its like a automatic buff for sage mode you dig

the time he could stay in sage mode was what limited it the most

wait til you see how overpowered sasuke is gonna be when he comes back

I can only imagine but you must remember madara had ems and was hailed as best in his clan before ems. And he still lost to the 1st , my point is its said the 3rd was the strongest in his prime so one would assume the 3 rd was stronger then the 1st not to mention the 3 rd beat the 1st age 2nd as an old man , so I'm just thinking that. i like cyba's idea of Zetsu controling one of the higher ups in the shinobi army, but that being said, throwing that in means ANYTHING and i mean ANYTHING can now happen
Zetsu's ability is a complete and utter ace for the author right now. He could completely alter the change of the story in a snap if he wanted using only zetsu

i actually throw in the possibility of it being Shisui. I mean there is no actual proof that hes dead. Itachi was a ninja clouded in darkness.. what makes you think he couldn't have lied about that too
Shisui would fit the bill of Tobi very very nicely.
Also i stand by Cyba's thought that madara = tobi is fake
Tobi is a washed up older ninja with a background to the Uchiha clan (at least) and whats inside is Madara.

EMS doesn't grant anything new, it just makes it so you don't go blind
It still will take the same amount if not more chakra to use the jutsu

naruto wont go in sage mode anymore now when he has fox mode. Maybe he can try sage fox fusion mode but that would be gfg... still wanna see how can someone defeat madara ...

Sage and Kyuubi at the same time would slam madara or anyone for that matter

We have already seen the fusion, it was able to withstand pain from 5 metres away, when Pain could control people from like 10km away....

It's gunna be hectic and Sasukes gunna get slammed
I believe when he combines sage mode with kyuubi, it will give him Shadow clones back cos he can use the nature chakra for the clones and keep his own chakra so the fox doesn't kill him
