All in due time. As for now both Killua and Gon are weak, just like when they entered GI.

As for why the Ants can use nen is kind of explained in the York Shin arc. They have human traits and fighting is like their basic instinct.

Pretty sure it will be properly explained further down.

Well yeah but Killua and Kurapika are fighters yet they had to train to be proficient but we'll see.

because nen is also obtainable with sick rage/fury/madness

as you saw that insect's killing intent was over 9000 and he is insane, he wanted to RIP THEIR HEADS OFF AND EAT THEM.
