other good stuff from back then: clannad, azumanga daioh, midori days, hidamari sketch, lucky star, air, kanon, yu yu hakusho, city hunter, hajime no ippo, oruchuban ebichu, samurai champloo, paniponi dash

should be enough for now. im a little biased towards slice of life/comedy so my recommendations might not be what you want to watch but i included some other stuff as well

oh and since you are looking for movies too the best two movies are perfect blue and interstella 5555
