Steins won't let you down.

Most of the other recommendations are way too far off from what you're asking for. If you checkout some more anime and find you're interested in shonen/action-adventure type shows, lmk and I've got plenty of recs for you.

Berserk might be another good one. Realistic(ish), adult content etc... It's ending leaves you wanting however, but it's an anime everyone should watch once.

Shit, I saw you like Black Clover lol. Ignore my other post, those other recommendations will all mostly work for you if you like that. There is a fuck ton of anime you'll like if you enjoy that. Here's a short list

Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood - MUST WATCH/Finished
YuYu Hakusho - Finished - A bit dated, but still amazing
Hunter x Hunter 2011 - MUST WATCH/Ongoing, but it's currently at a good stopping point
Fate/Zero - Finished
My Hero Academia - Ongoing, similar to Black Clover
Berserk - Another classic. Finished, but as stated above, has an ending that'll leave you salty
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure - Not for everyone. It's one that people love or hate, worth giving a shot though.

Dark(ish)/Fucked up. This is where I'd put Death Note

Future Diary - Finished
Parasyte - Finished
Gantz - Finished
Hellsing Ultimate - Finished
Deadman Wonderland - Finished but incomplete

Tbh, I sort of started black clover cuz of a friend and it isn't 100% my genre.
Was still enjoyable ofc.

I think I found my second favourite anime aka Steins gate (don't expect to find smth as satisfying as monster tbh).
But I will definitely check ur list after I am done with steins gate!

If monster was for me a 10/10, Steins gate was ezily a 9/10.
Would say 9,5/10, but the second season (steins gate zero), was 8/10.

Well you are served with cowboy bebop, its more action packed but the depth of this anime, subplots and the ending. Its incredible. Ghost in the shell is more philosophical and reflective. The movie in 1995 is one of my favorite movie of all time and i mean movies in general.not just for the anime genre.
