Instead of flashbacks. Goku will stand there going "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" gathering power for 3 episodes.
I would consider that filler in itself.
Don't get me wrong I enjoyed both series.
But deep down they are very similar structures with just a different storyline.

DBZ is nostalgic, it's part of my childhood and it's the first Anime I watched growing up. I still enjoy DBZ because of what it means to me, that being said, it's not a great Anime lol. I voted DBZ regardless. Naruto isn't that good, so it wasn't a super difficult decision. Honestly, there are so many shows superior to what you've listed, you guys should branch out a bit. If you want to watch a stretched out Shonen type, even Bleach is better than Naruto.

NOW, that being said. I'm extremely excited for the new DBZ movie and for Super lol. I'll watch every second of it like a giddy little school-girl.

Dragon Ball Z is a classic, and will always be the best anime. (Only Dragon Ball Z IMO, not Dragon Ball or Dragon Ball GT)

I now only watch it because I already watched ~680 episodes. But it's more and more annoying. Intro song, flashbacks, reminder that they're already in the Grand Line, more flashbacks, title, 5 minute action to fill roughly one manga chapter, end.

5 minute action that's often still flashbacks. And all the post-war arcs suck.
