is movie cont of story line or alternate

Apparently the first two are the same as the series, but the third one extends beyond the series.

Okay so I've never seen Berserk, or read the manga, but I had heard of it. I went to Anime Expo this year and they showed the first movie and I was like "wow this is awesome, I'm going to watch the next ones". Once again, the second one was amazing too. Then...the third one my god. That was one of the most violent, fucked up, yet still fucking awesome things I've ever seen in my life. I obviously can't compare them to the anime myself, but my friend told me about the anime and the third movie has a tiny bit after that extends further than the anime. The best part is after all the fucking crazy shit that goes down, the end seen is just Guts walking away and it says "THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING"....and now I'm going to read the manga.

Go watch the anime now. It's fucking epic too

Watch the anime then read the manga. The first eclipse really is just the beginning of the awesome. Then it gets FUUUUUUCKING epic.

Just saw all three movies and while I still consider the 1997 anime better, it was definately worth seeing. I hope they continue the story as the director indicated
