I really liked how CG ended, so I kinda feel reluctant to even see more, but if I understood correctly it doesn't have a lot/anything to do with the original story?

I'll probably watch it when the third is out, with no real expectations.

Not only that, they actually used Lelouch well. They gave him a year time lapse between r1 and r2. we know he spent 6 months with rolo and the other other 6 months doing what??
