dunno, after L died, it was boring for me :S

A ton of suspense/mystery. For example watching Death Note for the first time ever, I had no clue whether Light would be caught by L. Some animes you can just predict what is going to happen while watching. Death Note was completely different to me. Never thought there would be 2 Kiras especially one with the Shinigami Eyes, always wondering how Light would Kill L, if at all. Kept me wanting more and more. Every moment of this anime I was like "holy shit this is so badass". Killing someone by writing their name in a book, when L showed himself and challenged Kira (was some other guy not the real L), how Light got Ray Penber's name. Then his fiances name. Basically just everything about this anime to me was completely awesome. The whole anime was so well done and in depth. One mistake and boom they will know who Kira was. All the tests L gave Light, everything.



This anime defines good anime.

no doubt it is a great anime with a very unique concept.. but being "obsessed"? interestintg

Wouldn't say the best but it is one of my favorites (out of a lot of favorites).

I believe it is my most rewatched anime.

Death note is one of.the best I have watched for.sure

whenever i rewatch it, i just watch until L dies. much happier ending.

and personally i prefer shakugan no shana or future diary background. loli yandere
