fairy tail has more "friendship is power!" than friggin' my little ponies

i mean the story started off pretty unique, being as new as it is i imagine most shonen story types had already been used (ninjas, pirates etc.) just somehow seems it died in middle there, powers became very unbalanced and fights became about willpower only

fairy tail stopped being good, and i dont think theres going back for it
