Ok so here are a couple which I'm sure no one has said yet...
Deadman Wonderland - Action, Horror, Sci-Fi - Great anime but it has plot holes (easily filled by the manga) and the ending is extremely anti-climatic. There are 12 episodes (1st season) and 1 OVA so far. There are lots of doubts if there will be a season 2 due to bad sales in Japan. The ending of season 1 would be OK if there ends up being S2.
THE UNLIMITED Hyobu Kyosuke - Shounen, Supernatural - Incredibly good anime. You really should give this a go. Make sure you watch first couple of episodes before quitting. It is based on Zettai Karen Children world which was a terribad kid anime. This is completely different. Every character is likeable and the action in this is pretty awesome. CHECK THIS OUT.

Deadman Wonderland

Densetsu no Yuusha no Densetsu - involves lots of action, magic etc.
Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom - Overall great anime
Monster - Very dark atmosphere and great story. Highly recommended.
Kuroshitsuji - Yet again, great anime overall.
Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? - Funny stuff
Natsume Yuujinchou - My favorite "slife of life" anime

Seto no Hanayome - looks like slice to much slice of life, not enough action.
Kara no Kyoukai - definately watching the first couple eps.
Ore no Kanojo to Osananajimi ga Shurabasugiru - eh
Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo - looks like a chickAflick
Kotoura-san - another chickAflick
Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai/Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai NEXT - im ok with harems, not my usual genre but I have enjoyed others. Vandread was nice.

Deadman wonderland - seen it, or some of it. It's ok.. but yeah holes like you said.
The unlimited - never seen it. but it sounds interesting. I'll check it out now.

not saying I won't watch one... but they usually don't appeal to me. So make sure its a good one

If you like Darker than Black, check out Psycho-Pass. One of the best anime this season.

If you like an anime that builds up story with a great ending, check out Robotic;Notes.

Accel World was fun to watch.

Infinite Stratos was decent, but is only worth watching for a character named Charlotte.

Zetsuen No Tempest is another anime that builds up.

Aquarion EVOL was fun to watch.

I forgot about Jormungand. Highly recommended!
