All retold stories with recycled content .

Eva is overhyped over the whole rebuild , but overrated it is not . Not too many Anime retell and rebuild  an entire story that they themselves etched in stone with different variables and new content .

Which is why fans are excited for it .

Not lame OVA's of characters doing nothing with sub-par art and no real relevant story changing plot .
