This doesn't fit what your looking for, but there's a movie called Colours, IMO it's really good.

For some reason I wasn't able to edit my other post. Anyways, another one that came to mind is The Girl Who Leapt Through Time; I think you'll really enjoy this one.

watched both of these and really enjoyed them, still looking for more to watch
