Anyone who likes anime have already had that thought many times, I guarantee it. Anime seems nice and perfect, more fun etc, however you forget that even if life were like anime, YOU PROBABLY WOULDN'T BE THE MAIN CHARACTER. Should watch Haruhi, even she understands. And she's the god. lolderp

I get what you mean al though alcohol is a drug and a pretty serious one at that. The tranquil, homogeneous, modest style of living, if I'm understanding correctly. (I mostly watching horror anime LOL). Nonetheless I like the idea

Well you better get that idea out of your head really soon because it's not gonna happen. There is alot of things that you can do to change what you dont like about your current situation in life, just do it.

That's not true, people like literature/movies/anime/etc because they are able to forget about their daily concerns and see what it is like to live life through someone else's vision.

For example, I would love to watch a dystopia anime where the MC has to fight on the brink of survival everyday for food, water, and the like.

Does that mean the life I am living is worse than a realistic post-apocalyptic setting? Obviously not, yet an appeal exists.
