I agree, but if it's so different that people cry and bleed in moments of excitement, somethings seriously wrong.

Animakers (cwatididthere) prefer to make everything extreme rather than lifelike - and yes i know it's a cartoon - but a more realistic cartoon could be more popular than a seriously unrealistic one (not storylines, but the way characters are portrayed).

It's probably why dramas are so popular. It's everyone's rendition of their fantasy, so there's always going to be exaggerations. Besides, a little imagination is good every once in a while. There's only a problem if you can't differentiate. As for the nosebleeds, it's pretty much like the whole sneezing means someone's talking about you sort of thing.

Everyone has their own tastes and there is anime for everyone. I personally like the over the top reactions. I find them very funny.

I think it works for 50% of it, but 50% of it is also unnecessary. Either way, I know what you mean, Anime caters for certain tastes.
