if your wanting animes with alot of action i suggest
Fairy tail
Soul eater
Katekyo Hitman reborn (first 20-30 episodes are slow but den it becomes epic)
Naruto shipuden
Darker than black
Fate stay night
Full metal alchemist (so- so anime ders so much plot in it dat ders little fights. the only major fights are with father and pride)
Code geass (I havent seen it but people talk about it alot)
One piece

Short animes

Elfen lied (Murderous show)
High school of the dead (Its good if you can see past the excessive fan service)
Death note (Its good anime)
Hellsing
Zombie loan (i didnt exactly enjoy it but you might)
