i did not know streaming used so much bandwidth o.o does it use more then downloading??
I am not sure if 10bit has any change in streaming but for downloads.. the site I use re-encodes files that are in the 400mb range and takes them down to a 230mb range for 720. With little to no loss in quality. Some sites sacrifice some quality for files under 100mb at 720 and under 60mb for 480. Those sites though.. the quality looks more like a stream. Only difference is that you get to keep the episodes

When I was streaming the lower quality streams were at least 150mb a piece and they were pixelated to shit. Even the lowest quality 360p was around 100mb. So yeah.. there is a monstrous advantage to downloading then streaming when it comes to saving bandwidth. I am personally able to watch everything that is airing in good to excellent quality where as before while streaming I couldn't watch everything and the quality was rather poor. If you have some sort of program to tell you how much you are downloading in a specific amount of time.. or if you just use the windows task manager under networking you can keep track of how much data you are using. Start a stream from CR and keep track of the amount of data you use when the stream is finished. I'd be curious to know if their streams have any compression compared to the free streaming sites. If 720 is under 200mb.. I'll stop downloading and get a CR acc asap

It will at least give me more incentive to go out and buy the anime that I like after it is done airing
