clannad is just romance

i have to say it didt make me cry but almost got me.

can you watch after story without watching clannad?
is there even a clannad anime or was that only for manga
please help clear some things up for me because i really want to watch this

No you can't. You have to watch Clannad before you watch After Story, because basically what KEY did there was make the watcher build a bond with the characters starting from the first episode of Clannad. It's important you stick through the whole journey so you build that bond, because that's the key to the anime, anything good or bad that happens to them will really get to you.

And both Clannad and Clannad After Story are seperate animes, based on the visual novel "Clannad". There's no manga.

I still think Kanon is more depressing than Clannad AS to be honest.

Also, despite having a lot of H-scenes, eroges tend to have deeper stories anywho. (Derp, Kanon being originally one. Also how Clannad was originally a Visual Novel)

My point is...

Visual Novels and Eroges somehow have very deep and depressing stories at times that touch your emotional side. The ones that start off as Manga....doesn't.

you dont have to open a new thread every time you watch an anime, especially so if you watch a new anime every two days

I think there's a lot more to that, I found it very inspirational. And there are quite a lot of funny moments, specially towards the end of Clannad and start of AS... lots of lulz, it's not only tears.
