i dunno young ppl tend not to pick up on the inbetween jokes that happen or at least don't understand them. i've watched a few Animes that felt pretty kid friendly but there was a joke or 2 that i know kids wouldn't understand
most of it innuendo or shit you see in background or something strung together a certain way but because there brains are so little they wouldn't pick up on it until they re-watch it later on in life.
