I actually had to stop watching the anime. It was the voices, really. They sounded horrible. There are some things that are just supposed to stay manga. Berserk, for example, was complete shit compared to the manga.

On another note umm Samurai manga/anime

Based on your list you have not watched Gintama. It starts off slow but it gets really good. It is mostly comedy/parodies but it has a lot of action and a lot of serious parts.
