Some pretty bad subs out there too, but I prefer subbed just to get the feel of the original voice actors.  there are some decent dubbed ones out there though.

yeah the emotion from the original VO tends to be better than the Dubbed ones but like you said there are a few good ones. i've seen a few movies like Spirited Away, Ponyo and they have pretty good VO

Subbed is the best, mainly for 3 reasons: original voices ftw, no risk of watching something censored, and even though the words chosen might not always be the best, they don't change meanings or details like some dubs do.

I personaly grew up watching dubbed anime, I can remember watching it on my local tv during the early 90's ever since I was 3. I watched Dragon Ball (+Z/GT), Ranma, Captain Tsubasa, Kinnikuman, Detective Conan, Doraemon, and many more, dubbed during those years. As I grew up, I watched anime dubbed in diferent languages I could understand (I've watched up to 8 diferent dubs for Dragon Ball, lol) and also some subbed anime. I realized some countries are way better than others at dubbing and some dubs are actually very good, but in general many dubs are far behind the original work. In any case, no matter how good the dub, they are never as good as the original, even if I prefer watching some of those old shows dubbed to please my nostagic side, japanese+subs is the best. It's the same as when you watch a movie, to grasp 100% of the art work you've got to watch it the way it was orginally done.

missing out man :(

i've been used to reading so much cause well lets face it as a RPG gamer Reading is a must and when it came to old school titles like Final Fantasy/Legend of Dragoon etc... its like playing a fricken book/dictionary XD

hey if every single anime had godly dubbs i would probably watch dubbed but i'm afraid they don't ( it's probably like 15% of anime have good-decent dubs ) and i seriously don't want to watch a series where the characters sound the same or sound totally off.
yeah sure some characters in a the RAW might sound the same to but at least there good at the acting part and make the character sound believable and alive.

LOL

It was obviously a joke... I could not type that sentence if I was illiterate :P

and besides you should know just from my sig / ava that there is no way I could watch dubs.. Shana only had dub for season one, and my god it was bad... srsly I think there must be a better fan dub out there then the actual dub.. ( not that I care to try and find one. )

/e also tlr fan... which has no dub thank god.
