why do you hold anime's like cowboy bebop and kenshin in such high esteem?

i've seen both of these and could only make it to the end of cowboy bebop just to finish what i started

had to drop kenshin after he beat that burnt bandages guy because the main character was uninteresting

because they created a genre mainly
bebop was the first high quality space opera incorporating modern cgi
and kenshin is one of the only samurai shows to make the run it did

these animes were great when there were only 2 or 3 new shows coming on every season and they were brought to the us in the first funimation package when the company started. they have meaning beyond entertainment. but mainly we like them because they're just plain good. you're not going to see botring still frames with the same recycled classroom in the background, you will see beautiful trees or an incredibly in depth room of a space ship. you wont see still frame flying kicks with motion lines in the background you will see spike dancing around tables at an outdoor cafe tossing up his cape to hide a right hook or kenshin taking out a group of 100 guys 1 at a time and think it's a truly impressive human feat. the shows are truly quality.

anyway that will answer your question though i'm sure its tldr
so the reason why you cant appreciate them is because you're a child. that's pretty much all there is to it

They put work into their scenes instead of having generic stock images
And helped lead a genre of animes to come about

i told you not to watch kenshin and just watch the OVAs. it gets dull after the fast kid.

Samurai X Trust & Betrayal is too good.

Loved em when I was younger. Still love em today.
Kenshin not as much but it was enjoyable enough.
Most of the adult swim line up was good to watch.

Everyone has their own opinions/taste. So this thread is pointless.

no way the guy said he watched like 70 episodes and everyone knows the kenshin vs the christians ark was pretty weak
but i think thats true of a lot of long running action anime, when you start turning characters into gods, that's when your done.

didnt watch both, or rather couldn't because theyre over 10 years old.

thanks for both shows, since they made anime what it is today but it's 2015 guys.
those animes are garbage, they're shit compared to 2015's quality.
