Too long, I am up to date with the manga cuz I can skim, but anime nope~

watching a sport anime> reading it reading sports animes is beyond aids

Gotta agree with uguu. Skimmed most of it and am caught up with manga but anime seems like too much

i started hajime no ippo with the second season because season 1 is ugly as hell

i've watched season 2 > season 3 > season 1

season 2 and season 3 is very awesome, the quality is also top notch full HD.
season 1 is meh.

I never watched this anime before, but I assume it's because it's based on the first few chapters of the manga.
The art style that is, and it started on 2000, so you gotta cut them some slack. The manga was drawn since 1989

Hajime no Ippo is awesome.
perfect mix of action and comedy
