quite a few have recommended it, but just watching a little here and there it seems a bit bland

Hunter x hunter is just an adventure story. Gets better in the second arc

It's a shota yaoi story who meets a anti-trap flat chested boy and a teenager with lipodystrophy. The main protagonist is a crazy pedophile clown with OCD.

i never considered dragonball/z/gt an anime lol

it was apart of my childhood

despite the name it's not really a show about hunting or hunters just like naruto is far from being a show about ninjas. but it's the story of a young boy who decides to go on multiple adventures, it's quite reminiscing of Dragon ball in a way. although when they decide to go in depth about abilities it becomes a snorefest. but at least it doesn't last episodes on end.
