Kantai Collection has been a standard card game that's swarmed with a massive amount of different "moe" ship-girls.

The fan-base has become absurd to nearly rival the Touhou fan-base. The game isn't easily playable since they integrated a "lottery" system for people to join.

Due to the popularity, an Anime was announced in the making a year ago for Summer 2014 but still no exact date is shown. (Crunchyroll stated that they will be airing it)

I can't come up with a synopsis simply because I have no idea if there's even a story or plot. Everything has been varied between fanon/canon, so it's too hard to tell.


I'm personally at a standstill since I have several mixed feelings about this "touhou-killer." Hell, depending on how good it is, I might migrate as well.

For those that have no clue on what I'm talking about, the two most popular subjects in Comiket is currently Touhou and KanColle by a wide margin. No other subjects come close to the two.

It's about time this anime comes out.

Well, this explains where all the yuri doujins I keep seeing are coming from... I hadn't looked anything up on it, but every time I read one I thought it was adorable. I'll definitely look forward to an anime release of this!

Pretty much, /jp/ has been in an uproar that their favorite touhou doujin artists are busy with Kankore now.

ya I see cards/posters/accessories for this everywhere around Japan right now, but I havnt heard anything about an anime yet.
