ecchi becomes more and more part of animes, so what do you think about this development?

for the most part, it destroys the anime.
unless its something like golden boy, then, on that rare occasion, its an asset.

It depends way too much on the anime. There seem to be people picking up shows like Date a Live and Highschool DxD, and then complain about ecchi, which is just retarded.

Sex sells, that's true for both anime and 'hollywood'. I don't mind it.

However if the shows base is actually a serious plot, and then they just add what is commonly known as fan service for minutes after minutes in episode after episode, with no real development, then yeah, it ruins it, even for me.


If you consider it a problem, the problem is probably in what shows you decide to watch.

Yes and no. I like moe and echii, but the regurgitation of the content that sells rather than an original that might get less viewers is whats killing the anime industry (at least for me)

also, what do u say for example to fairy tail. it started (still is! ) as an awesome shounen, with not that mcuh ecchi. the fans however wanted some more ecchi and lately it was a bit too much in manga / anime, at least for me (fan services).

im not complaining ^^ for me personally i like them in some shows.

what i dont like is when it gets way too much in animes which arent supposed to have their focus in ecchi like fairy tail^^
