I don't mean like the cartoons/anime you watched while you were still young.

I mean after you moved past those shows(if you did) What anime brought you into watching them now? What made you want to watch it?

For example: I could say Dragonball or One Piece introduced me to anime when i watched them when i was 5 or so, but i stopped watching those shows at some point, and hadn't watched much else for a long time.

Anyways..

Mine was Zero No Tsukaima about 2 years ago.

This opening is what made me watch it.

Was bored, and talking to people looking for new music to listen to, got this song linked to me, even though i doubted i'd like the song since it was in a different language, i listened to it. Not long after that, i started watching the anime, and found my favorite hobby ^_^

Well as a kid I had been influenced to like those type of shows. dragonball, pokemon, inuyasha etc..

but when I was about 17 I watched death note and I really liked it so I started branching out watching shows like naruto and other popular main stream animes. Then I started to watch/read the less popular ones.

so I guess the first anime that really got me to understand that not all animes are kiddish ( which I still like that type of show anyway lol) was deathnote which for me was a surprise to see a "cartoon" filled with murder and a anti-hero as a main charachter.
