I really liked this anime. I've also liked Dragon Ball Z, Bleach, Samurai Jack, and Rurouni Kenshin a lot.

Any suggestions for a new anime to watch?

i remember watching a little bit of those when i was younger, but never got really into watching every episode.

other than the ones you listed, Inuyasha was one of my favorites, along with a little bit of One Piece whenever it came on tv.

but after watching a few romance/comedy/harem genre animes, i fell in love with those

One piece definitely, naruto is good too

both those are worth your time and will occupy you handily.
